Award-winning journalist, former National Public Radio host, and current host of the weekly podcast On My Mind, Diane Rehm will be an honoree and keynote speaker at the rescheduled Gala for Houston Area Parkinson Society. Ms. Rehm knows firsthand the devastating effects of Parkinson’s. Her husband of 54 years, John Rehm, had Parkinson’s disease and died in June 2014.
The 2017 Annual Awards Gala, Changing the Face of Parkinson’s, will include a brief awards ceremony and presentation followed by dinner, live auction, and dancing. Preceding the gala, there will be a special VIP Reception at 5 pm with Ms. Rehm. Gala Event Chairs are Hala and Joe Ahmad, and the Young Professional Host Committee Chairs are Izzy and John Schulte.
