Wilson W. “Dub” Crook will give a presentation on a collection of prehistoric artifacts from southeast Texas dating from the Clovis period (13,000 years BP) to the Late Prehistoric (1500 AD).
The artifacts are part of a collection donated by Andy Kyle to the Sam Houston Regional Library and Research Center in Liberty, Texas, which has recently put these artifacts on display in a new museum exhibit that opened on June 9. The Kyle Collection includes stone tools, historic and prehistoric points, Native American pottery, and other material from 95 archeological sites in nine counties in Southeast Texas.
