Houston Arboretum & Nature Center presents Winter Birding with Gary Clark

Join an ornithological odyssey with the Houston Arboretum’s renowned birding instructor, Gary Clark. Guests will explore the beauty of birds in their natural setting while learning how to identify them using certain characteristics. People will also discover the different types of birds you might encounter in Texas in winter, as well as a brief introduction to bird songs. Before the participants journey onto the trails, Clark will cover the essential equipment needed.

Class schedule: 90-minutes in the classroom and 90-minutes on a hike in the woods.  Bring binoculars, a notebook and a field guide.
