Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show Spring Edition

The well-known and long-running event previously known as the Houston Antiques Dealers Association Antiques Show has been rebranded and restyled to include many new decorative and fine arts dealers including some specializing in 20th century design.

Media personality Reyne (Haines) Hirsch, of Antiques Roadshow fame will give a talk, Successfully Selling Antiques in the 21st Century. Hirsch, who has an expertise in 20th Century Decorative Arts, is called upon to appraise collectibles ranging from antique watches to $20 million dollar paintings. Her appraising skills are also in high demand by investment firms, high end estates and charity auctions.

The lecture is free and open to the public but reservations are encouraged. To register, send an email to: events@altonladaymedia.com.

HAADS will feature some of Houston's most prestigious dealers including David Lackey Art & Antiques, Antiques of River Oaks, Antique Company, and Robert Alker Art & Antiques among many others. Exhibitors from across the U.S., Canada and Europe will also be present at the Houston show including Gele Antiques of Miami and Montevideo, Majolica Ltd of Paris & Houston, Benchmark of Atlanta, Adele & Alan Grotsky of Fort Lauderdale, Eileen Kirkwood of Eastville, VA, Butler & Butler of Sarasota, and many others. By broadening the number of dealers and scope of material presented, the new show has drawn more support from younger collectors. Also new is the show will be presented in a room-setting style with walled booths, and will be increased in size to 75 exhibitors.
