Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau
The Houston Symphony honors Houston-area teachers with a concert that celebrates educators and the great work they do. This concert features the winner from the Houston Symphony League Concerto Competition in the first half and a performance of one of the best-known orchestral masterworks in the second half, with the Houston Symphony performing side-by-side one of its partnering youth orchestras, the Houston Youth Symphony.
The program includes Prokofiev's Sinfonia Concertante for Cello and Orchestra with soloist Charles Seo and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathétique."
