House of Blues brings the sights, sounds and tastes the Big Easy to the Bayou City with the return of the Krewe du Blue Mardi Gras Bash. The whole-House event features live music, inspired specialty drinks and limited-time menu offerings – and beads.
The festivities kick off in Crossroads at House of Blues with a Bourbon St. Happy Hour at 4 pm and toe-tappin’ tunes from the Zydeco Dots at 6 pm.
The party rolls into the Music Hall for the big Krewe du Blue Mardi Gras Bash with headliner and New Orleans native, John “Papa” Gros, serving up a tasty gumbo of traditional funk infused with rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, blues, Americana, and pop. Openers The Brass-a-holics set the stage with a mix of New Orleans brass combined with “go-go brass funk” as described by trombonist and founder Winston Turner. Special guest host, 94.5 The Buzz’s on-air personality, Theresa is guaranteed to take it over the top.
After the curtain falls, the party continues in Foundation Room with sounds by DJ Solo.
