Hooks-Epstein Galleries will be hosting a pop-up exhibition showcasing the available body of work of gallery artist, Sandi Seltzer Bryant. Bryant was one of over 100 artists affected by a devastating arson fire at Winter Street Studios on December 20, 2022.
For Seltzer Bryant, making art is about layering her experiences throughout time; her abstract artwork includes handmade papers from over 20 countries, which have been used to create bold mixed media works on canvas and board. The work takes on a life of its own, with each layer of texture and color informing on the places to which she has lived and traveled, thus creating a dialogue between Bryant and the piece.
The exhibition continues through February 11.
