In observance of FotoFest 2022 and kicking off its 2022-2023 exhibition season, Hooks-Epstein Galleries presents the photography-based works of artist Julie Brook Alexander.

"The Savoring Project" is inspired by Alexander’s passion for discovering visual relationships in nature. Alexander researches the part of nature that she experiences the most - food and the exquisite flavor harmonies its pairings can create. She layers medium format focus stacked photographs of two primary ingredients; the individual photographs blend together as the two distinct elements complement each other. The work in the exhibition further speaks to engaging the senses and being truly present to relish balance and nourishment.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until October 15.
