Thanks to historian David Shneer, the knowledge of 20th century Soviet photography were upended by the publication of his book Through Soviet Jewish Eyes. Most prominent among his discoveries was that most of the great photographers of the 1920s to 1940s were Jewish.

Anne Tucker, curator of photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, will tour the Holocaust Museum Houston's exhibition Through Soviet Jewish Eyes: Photography, War, and the Holocaust and discuss her revelations.
