Celebrate the opening of the Hermann Park Centennial Exhibition at the Julia Ideson Library downtown with a reception and lecture sponsored by the Friends of the Texas Room at the Houston Public Library's Central Branch downtown.

The reception will be followed by a talk by Barrie Scardino Bradley, author of Houston's Hermann Park: A Century of Community. The exhibition will be on view upstairs in the library's Tudor Gallery through July 26. Bradley will be available to sign copies of her book. Copies of the book will be on sale at the reception.
