Hermann Park Conservancy celebrates the first installations of the Art in the Park series, which commemorates the yearlong centennial celebration of Hermann Park.

Patrick Dougherty's "stickwork" sculpture, a commissioned project under construction through January, will reside at the south end of the Jones Reflection Pool. Yvonne Domenge's Ferrari-red steel sculpture, Wind Waves, will be installed just east of the Sam Houston Monument. Both installations are part of the centennial art project known as Art in the Park, a series of contemporary art installations to be displayed over the Park's 445 acres throughout 2014 and beyond.

Domenge and Dougherty will be present at the reception. Light snacks and refreshment will be served. The reception will be held in the Sara H. and John H. Lindsey Plaza and Molly Ann Smith Plaza, located in the north and south ends of Jones Reflection Pool.
