Houston Heritage Society
Join The Heritage Society as it celebrates Juneteenth with the Descendants of Olivewood Cemetery, which was the first incorporated African American cemetery in Houston.
Guests will enjoy live music, complete a scavenger hunt and learn about important aspects of the early history of Houston's African American community. Get started on your family tree with the experts from Clayton Genealogical Center of the Houston Public Library, participate in craft activities and take a tour of 1823 Old Place.
Refreshments will be served.
