Mary Anne Pennington, 39, is a design instructor at The Art Institute of Houston who lives with and provides for her mother. She has been diagnosed with two forms of cancer, and her treatment is expensive. During recovery, she won't be able to provide for her mother and herself, so friends and artists are hosting an event to make a difference.

Through a silent auction, guests will have the option to purchase paintings, prints, sculpture, jewelry and clothing.
