For 71 years, Heifer International has worked to end global hunger and poverty. As of 2015, the world is at historic lows in terms of the number of hungry people in the world. At Beyond Hunger: Communities of Change, they'll celebrate these achievements and explore how you can join the effort to end hunger and poverty within our lifetime.

The event will feature a special presentation from Heifer USA, the arm of Heifer International working in the U.S. to end hunger and poverty. There will also be plenty of time to enjoy the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center. Walk among the trees and wildlife along the trails, enjoy fun and educational activities with your family and friends, and listen to engaging speakers. This free, family-friendly event is a drop-in, but some events will be scheduled. Delicious local food will be provided.
