The John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science will reopen to the public on Saturday, August 22, with new hours and updated health protocols. Members and non-members alike are invited to visit Houston's most interactive science & health learning center to enjoy their unique educational experiences.
Museum visitors will have access to the "Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World" and "Artificial Intelligence: Your Mind & The Machine" exhibits. The photo-documentary exhibit "The Hands That Feed Houston," by Houston photographer Amy Scott, will also be on view.
The museum will have a number of health and safety guidelines in place, including a closure of the high-touch portions of exhibits; directional arrows to help ensure proper flow of traffic at exhibits; social distancing markers to ensure proper spacing between visitors; hand sanitizing dispensers throughout the museum; and a reduced capacity of only 50 guests every hour. Purchasing tickets ahead of time online is highly encouraged.
