The Health Museum and Baylor College of Medicine present The Day We Walked on the Moon

The Health Museum will join the Smithsonian Channel and other Smithsonian Affiliate institutions across the country to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first humans landing on the Moon as part of NASA’s Apollo 11 lunar mission with the screening of the film, The Day We Walked on the Moon. The film screening will be followed by a Health, Moon and Beyond panel featuring two former NASA astronauts and other experts from Baylor College of Medicine’s Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) and Center for Space Medicine.

This event will feature the following guest panelists:

  • Dr. David Hilmers, former NASA astronaut, physician, and professor in the internal medicine department at Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Dr. Robert Satcher, a former NASA astronaut and orthopedic oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
  • Dr. Dorit Donoviel, director of TRISH at Baylor College of Medicine.
  • Dr. Jeffery Sutton, director of the Center for Space Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.

Entrance to the 3 pm film screening and panel will be included with the regular price of admission for The Health Museum. The film will also be screened earlier in the day and on July 21 and 25.
