47 Strings founder and harpist Meghan Caulkett and soprano Julia Fox will present a stylistically varied program of music for harp and voice meditating on the eternal theme of love and loss. The program will include music by more familiar composers such as Saint-Saens, Debussy, Satie, Barber, Poulenc, Britten and Milhaud, as well as lesser known 20th century and living composers such as Gordon Binkerd, Byron Adams and Kaija Saariaho. The program also includes a world premiere by Houston composer Stephen Bachicha.
