Avenue Q: The Musical is a racy, witty coming of age story, the tale of a young man discovering life and love and a monster or two on the gritty, grimy, exhilarating streets of New York. It begins with a starry-eyed college graduate, Princeton, who arrives in New York equipped with an English degree and ready to take on the world. First, he needs a cheap apartment and the cheapest apartments are on Avenue Q.
The neighborhood is populated by people and puppets who have a lot to teach young Princeton by singing catchy tunes. Their lessons, however, don't have much to do with the alphabet.
