Mercer Botanic Gardens is hosting a one-day conference featuring local experts who will present innovative ways to establish healthy trees in Houston’s municipal climate.

Attendees will learn how to tackle problems that plague urban trees including intense heat, soil compaction, restrictive root runs, wind tunnels, pollution, and chemical contamination. The conference will also cover ways to deal with overhead and underground utilities, pedestrians, and vehicles when planting trees in crowded urban areas.
