Harris County Precinct 4 will present a full weekend of food, games, and live theater at their annual Shakespeare Festival on April 13 from 1-7 pm. Festival-goers will enjoy performances by comedian and entertainer Jim Mackenzie, who specializes in juggling, sword swallowing, whip cracking, rope and pole walking, uni-cycling, music looping, straight jacket escape, and more. Shakespeare-era attire is encouraged.
There will also be four performances of Two Gentlemen of Verona - April 12 at 7:30 pm, April 13 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, and April 14 at 2 pm. One of Shakespeare’s earliest plays, Two Gentlemen of Verona features plenty of romance, comedy, and action, as best friends Valentine and Proteus leave their hometown of Verona for Milan.
