Harris County Precinct 4 will present a full weekend of food, games, and live theater at their annual Shakespeare Festival on April 13 from 1-7 pm. Festival-goers will enjoy performances by comedian and entertainer Jim Mackenzie, who specializes in juggling, sword swallowing, whip cracking, rope and pole walking, uni-cycling, music looping, straight jacket escape, and more. Shakespeare-era attire is encouraged.

There will also be four performances of Two Gentlemen of Verona - April 12 at 7:30 pm, April 13 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, and April 14 at 2 pm. One of Shakespeare’s earliest plays, Two Gentlemen of Verona features plenty of romance, comedy, and action, as best friends Valentine and Proteus leave their hometown of Verona for Milan. When they both fall in love with the same woman, Proteus betrays Valentine, leading to an epic showdown in the forest. A band of outlaws and a disguised maiden intent on winning back her lost love add to the thrills.
