The G-Spot Contemporary Art Space will present "Solipsistic Delusions," an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Jeff and Bryan Wheeler. The show will feature individual works by the brothers in addition to fresh collaborations produced between Wheeler Bros’ Studios in Lubbock and The Studio at Splendora Gardens, where Jeff now serves as director.
These works exemplify the familiar force of Jeff’s collage-drawings on paper and Bryan’s panel paintings and embody on-going imagistic monologues that, in the collaborations, plunge into negative feedback loops, ultimately resolving in a dynamic equilibrium. Put another way, post-apocalyptic fish contend with high-school debutantes and fast-food strip clubs in uncensored compositions sure to provoke and excite.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through January 31, 2017.
