Born in 1964 in Sindelfingen, Germany, Zitzwitz now lives and works in Cologne. After graduating from the University of Arts and Design in Karlsuhe, Germany, he received a Fulbright Scholarship to attend New York University. As a guest professor at the University of Arts and Design in Offenbach, Germany, Zitzwitz was rewarded with the Karl Schmidt-Rottluff Scholarship. Zitzwitz had the honor of serving as a guest lecturer at the German National Academic Foundation during the summer of 2004.
