The Texas Sawmill Festival has transformed itself into a major event with a BBQ cook off called the Battle of the Brisket, with champion BBQ teams from the area vying for bragging rights of being the best of the Circle of Champions. The first 3,000 paid attendees will get to taste these champions cooking by receiving a free BBQ sandwich with all the trimmings, as well as a raffle ticket for prizes valued at least $100 each.
The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show will entertain with three shows throughout the day. World class chainsaw carvers will be buzzing their saws throughout the event creating art that is hard to believe was created by a chainsaw. Artists will be coming from around the country.
A Kids Zone to entertain the children will be onsite with inflatables, a trackless train, and a petting zoo.
