The Great American Trailer Park Musical premiered in 2004 at the New York Musical Theatre Festival and Off-Broadway in 2005 at Dodger Stages. Stages Repertory Theatre’s first production ran from July 2006 to March 2007 and remains the longest-running show in Stages’ history, edging out this year's hit, The Marvelous Wonderettes, by two weeks.

The story is set in Armadillo Acres, where Pippi, a "stripper on the run," comes between agoraphobic housewife Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband.
