One of the Grant-A-Starr Foundation's key fundraising events, the annual Cure for Tomorrow Gala is a special evening and dinner benefiting the advancement of diagnostic testing to save children’s lives. Proceeds from this event will go directly to research projects for life-saving advancements in diagnostic testing to detect early childhood diseases at Texas Children's Hospital (with Baylor College of Medicine) and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital (with The University of Texas Health Science Center).

The gala is hosted by the Cordua Family at Artista, their flagship restaurant, located at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts in downtown Houston. Restaurateur Michael Cordúa and Executive Chef David Cordúa will be present to announce the menu. This year's event will be emceed by Ms. Jacquie Baly, President of BalyProjects LLC and leader in Houston region’s business and policy communities for more than two decades. For the fourth consecutive year Houston’s leading artist Edgar Medina will paint live at the Gala for auction at the end of the evening. In addition, Dr. Versalovic from Texas Children's Hospital and Dr. Hasbun from Children’s Memorial Hermann will be in attendance to discuss their research.
