The University of St. Thomas Music Department presents The Gerling-Mut Duo: Bach and Brazil

Dr. Ingrid Gerling, a violinist native of Porto Alegre, Brazil, has performed extensively as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician throughout the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia. Her Houston performances include regular appearances as a violinist for Musiqa, the Foundation for Modern Music, and the Mercury orchestra.

Romanian pianist Andreea Muţ attended the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, before completing her Master of Music degree at Sam Houston State University, and her Doctorate in Collaborative Arts at University of Houston. Ms. Muţ performed solo and chamber music recitals throughout Romania, France, Colombia, Mexico and the United States.
