Generation Park is hosting its inaugural Juneteenth Celebration at Redemption Square in partnership with Harris County Cultural Arts Council. All of Lake Houston and the surrounding area is invited to enjoy a day of fun, history and entertainment for the entire family.
The celebration commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the contributions of African Americans to American music, food, art, business, and culture. Visitors can enjoy a market with local minority owned vendors, live music expanding many genres, speeches from elected officials, and visual & performing arts
In addition to a selection of food trucks, the restaurants at Redemption Square will be open. Guests can enjoy Vietnamese cuisine from Bibo’s Bistro & Bar, Italian inspired fare from Bocca Italian Kitchen, and coffee and pastries from Lupo Caffe. The Kids Zone will feature face painters, balloon artists, crafts, and more.
