The Garden Club of Houston's 72nd Annual Bulb and Plant Mart will offer shoppers more than 500,000 top-quality bulbs, from domestic and international, including hundreds of varieties of tulips, iris, amaryllis, daffodils, hyacinths, hard-to-find plants and much more.

Over the summer, garden club ladies have taken on the project of growing the native milkweed that monarch butterflies use as their host plant, and it will be available at the plant mart. Visitors will receive a Horticultural Guide for Houston and can visit the conservation booth, which will feature a variety of native and drought-tolerant plants curated by experts.

The three-day event begins on Oct. 2 with an early bird shopping opportunity ($20 per family) that includes live music and a party on the patio. The mart continues on Oct. 3 (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Oct. 4 (9 a.m.-2 p.m.), with free admission.
