Garbage Dreams follows the plight of three young men living in the outskirts of Cairo in the world's largest garbage village. The men make their livelihoods by collecting and recycling the trash of others, but a multinational corporation threatens their lifestyle.

A panel discussion will follow the screening.

All films sponsored by the department will be screened in the Rice Media Center. The Rice Media Center building is located at Entrance 8 on the Rice Campus (at Stockton and University Blvd). Cinema patrons may park in the Greenbriar Lot or in the Stadium Lots between Shepherd School of Music and Rice Stadium.
