Galveston Arts Center presents two new exhibitions, "Other Edens" and "Fables, Families, and Myths."
In the first-floor gallery, Other Edens features six artists who reference patterns in the natural world in their work. The exhibition includes work by Rebecca Braziel, Dylan Conner, Hallie Gluk, Erin Stafford, Patrick Turk, and Rachelle Vasquez.
In the second-floor 1878 and Brown Foundation Galleries, Ellen Tanner’s exhibition "Fables, Families and Myths" presents three series of works that highlight the artists exploration into characters, creatures, and myths. This exhibition, and the accompanying catalog, was organized by the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until July 8.
