Galveston Arts Center's ArtWalk

For 20 years the Galveston Arts Center has organized ArtWalk, an event occurring every six to eight weeks on Saturday nights in the heart of Galveston's historic district. ArtWalk takes place in existing galleries and non-profit spaces or wherever art is hung, including restaurants and retail stores.

This ArtWalk visits three locations:

El Camino Real de los Tejas: Past & Present
Meet at Old Gavelston Square at 2011 Strand
Created by the Consulate General of Spain in Houston, this exhibit features panels with old maps and engraving reproductions, photographs and other historical documents. The trail is one of eleven designated historic trails in the country.

Japanese Calligraphy My Way
Meet at Galveston Arts Center at 2501 Market St.
The exhibition features a combination of traditional Japanese calligraphy and Western drawing techniques curated by Clint Willour. 

Annual Art for All Exhibition
Meet at the Moody Mansion at 2618 Broadway
As part of the Galveston Art Center's Art for All Education Outreach initiative, this exhibition showcases works by adults and children enrolled in the program.
