Gallery Talk: Skin Freak by Edith Baumann, Darcy Huebler, Aaron Parazette and John Pomara

Inman Gallery

Skin Freak was organized by Frances Colpitt, chair of art history for the TCU galleries in Fort Worth. The exhibition includes several paintings by each of the four artists.

Derived from a term coined by the critic Al Brunelle referring to the tactile and seductive surfaces of abstract paintings in the 1960s, Skin Freak draws attention to the distinct physical presence of the paintings in the exhibition: The scale, heft, shape, emotional tenor and weight of each. Skin Freak is the final show for Inman Annex. The event also includes a closing reception.
