Identity combines the artwork of two artists from Louisiana with antique African sculptural and textile objects. Gabrielle Savoy and Vitus Shell ("Class Act" pictured to the right) decipher their cultures and the archetypal characters that play a role in everyday life and community rituals. The antique African masks, figures and ritual textile objects from multiple tribes were created to be used in rituals to make order of and decipher the world around them.
