G Contemporary Art Gallery presents "Politics of SEX," featuring a group of Houston artists celebrating the diversity of sexual identity and relationships, and exploring the politics of sex.
Artists employ a variety of strategies, including humor, wit and games to tap into libidinal energy and expose myths surrounding power relations that drive the politics of sex, gender, and reproductive rights.
Exhibiting artists include: Charlotte Cosgrove, Jan Harrell, Edward Lane McCartney, Beverly McPhail, Suzette Mouchaty, Donna E. Perkins, Angel Quesada, Jon Read, Cressandra Thibodeaux, Deasa Turner, and Becki Van Compernolle. The exhibition is curated by Suzette Mouchaty.
The exhibition will remain on display through January 28.
