Friends of Spring Branch-Memorial host the annual Book and Plant Festival in support of Harris County's Spring Branch-Memorial Library. A wide selection of books and plants can be purchased at bargain prices. Included are children's books and fiction and nonfiction for adults on everything from cooking and history to religion and the classics.

The plant sale features bedding, flowering, exotic, indoor and outdoor plants, as well as hanging baskets. Rare and first edition books also will be up for bids in a silent auction. Additionally, there will be a sale of coupons and gift certificates for area businesses. 

Proceeds from the festival will be used to buy library materials, such as e-books, expand programs for children and beautify the library, which is considered a neighborhood gem.
