Frenetic Theater will present The Things I Need by Vicki Fowler. Houstonian Fowler is an interdisciplinary artist who finds herself back in her native city after recently receiving her MFA from the performance department of the Chicago Art Institute. She has curated, organized, and conceived of artist spaces in both Houston and Chicago, and currently collaborates with artists and chefs in organizing response dining experiences.

The Things I Need is a series of interdisciplinary vignettes exploring the theme of what we need to survive day-to-day life.  Deciding what WE NEED and what WE DON'T is the Spiritual process for horders, minimalsits and collectors of the heart. Several individuals Fowler has admired have been invited to share their efforts and response to their necessary, in a live vignette. Fowler's coming home to these life collaborators is much a part of this work. She sees them, their life/work, and feels part of their collecting, discarding and expressing. From these various jeweled faceted perspectives... a collection of, spoken word, performance, dance and actions…all addressing personal lists necessary will be featured.
