Ice at the Galleria hosts a charity night that supports M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Activities include a shoot-to-score contest, on and off ice activities, free intro skating lessons, hockey and figure skating demonstrations, temporary tattoos, prize giveaways and an appearance by the rink's mascot, Chillsworth the Penguin.

Attendees can also help "freeze cancer" by marking up the ice with their name, memory or drawing.
