Renowned art historian, curator and critic Pepe Karmel discusses the relationship between Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso, co-inventors of Cubism. It is generally believed that their artistic dialogue came to an end with the outbreak of World War I in 1914. But in fact, Braque's productive relationship with Picasso continued well into the 1920s, exercising an important influence on the development of Modern art over many decades.

A reception and exhibition viewing of Georges Braque: A Retrospective follow the lecture.
