In celebration of the closing day of Round 34: Matter of FOOD, Project Row Houses will host the Peace Through Pie Social and Soul of My Food Cooking Competition #4.

Peace Through Pie, a grassroots peace movement, promotes the pie social as an expression of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's legacy of "Beloved Community", where everyone shares a piece of the pie at the table of brotherhood. Pie, an age-old comfort food in many traditions around the world, symbolizes inclusive equality with its circular form and diverse ingredients.

Bring a favorite homemade pie, handwritten recipe and favorite pie story, and enter to win cash prices. All pie traditions are welcome, sweet or savory, including samosas, calzones, quiche, empanadas, crisp and crumbles. 

The event will be held in the ground level of the Historic Eldorado Ballroom.
