The fourth annual 5K walk around the lake in Telfair benefits fourteen differen Fort Bend charities. Last year there were more than 600 walkers raising $60,000 with 100 percent of the registration fee being donated. The event begins with check-in and breakfast at 8:00 a.m., followed by a welcome and warm-up with Sugar Land City Council Member Jacquie Chaumette at 8:30 a.m. The walk begins at 9 a.m. and is followed by a Post-Walk Party beginning at 10 a.m.
