The Foundation for Teen Health will present the annual Hope for the Future Luncheon, celebrating the innovative programs offered at the Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinics and honoring two outstanding Houstonians.
Former Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst will receive the Dr. Peggy Smith Award for Professional Excellence. Phyllis Williams will receive the June and Virgil Waggoner Award for Volunteerism. The Foundation for Teen Health supports the network of 10 Baylor College of Medicine Teen Health Clinics. Young men and women find a medical home in the clinics where they are provided comprehensive health care, education and social services at no cost.
