Forum 6 presents "All About That Werk," a solo exhibition by visual and performance artist Raul Gonzalez. To put it simply, it’s a show about fatherhood, work, and playing with abstract expressionism. The exhibition reflects the artist’s identity as a stay-at-home parent to two young daughters and his effort to break down social and cultural stereotypes.
Through the combination of mixed-media paintings, drawings and prints, Gonzalez offers a personal look into his day-to-day life as a working artist and father. This series includes highly rendered drawing-painting combinations on concrete fragments and other work site materials where construction scene imagery is combined with color and abstraction.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display on August 4.
