"Supernatural Attraction" features a selection of new work from Texas artist E. Dan Klepper. Klepper, a full-time resident of the state’s wild and scenic Big Bend region for over two decades, mixes art with technology to reconstruct the Texas landscape and its transformational characteristics into charismatic and, at times, startling conjurations.
The show’s standouts include Klepper’s 200 Moons, a spellbinding installation measuring 8x15 feet and composed of 200 panels featuring the full moon rising over the west Texas grasslands. Birdcage, a mosaic of over 100 photographs of winter birds perched on branches after a snowstorm, and Hybrids, a triptych of an unlikely merger between morning glories and jellyfish, accompany prints of hailstones and icicles photographed in ways that expose the magic of their hidden crystalline structure.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until January 21, 2023.
