Flamart (Featuring Latin American Music and Art) presents the city’s first ‘Latin Week Houston’ – a week celebration of Latin American art. Latin Week Houston’s mission is to present, celebrate and preserve the rich diversity Latin American arts contain. From the indigenous to the Gypsy to the African to the European and beyond, Latin American culture reflects the convergence of world cultures as they happened on the continent. From Grammy Award winner to congressionally recognized to international touring artists, Latin Week Houston’s performers reflect the array of styles and genres that depict the culture.

The schedule of activities are as follows:

  • January 16: Press and Sponsors Launching Reception (by invitation at Rice University, Grand Ballroom)
  • January 17: Latin Week Houston: Champagne, Art and Song! (Gite Gallery)
  • January 18: The Big Salsa Class Part 1 (Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center)
  • January 21: The Big Salsa Class Part 2 (Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center)
  • January 22: Salsa For The World! (MATCH)
  • January 23: La Onda Nueva (MATCH)
  • January 24: Estrenos! (MATCH)
  • January 25: El Gran Final! (MATCH)
