"First Tuesdays at Methodist" Indian Classical Music Concert

"First Tuesdays at Methodist" is a monthly concert series presented by The Methodist Hospital Center for Performing Arts Medicine. This month, a classical Indian concert of sitar and tabla with Aaron Ray Hermes and Dr. Rahul Pandit will be coupled will traditional refreshments of the region.

Dr. Pandit is a member of the ophthalmology department at The Methodist Hospital. An avid musician, he performs on tabla, a centuries-old North Indian (Hindustani) classical drum and actively promotes the Indian classical tradition through concerts and educational workshops. Aaron Ray Hermes is a prolific performer and composer on the sitar, an Indian stringed instrument used in North Indian (Hindustani) classical music and famously popularized in the West by Ravi Shankar.
