Film screening: The Out List

Courtesy photo

In The Out List, a diverse cross section of leaders from entertainment, business, sports and public service discuss intimate stories on childhood, understanding gender and sexuality, building careers while out, and the challenges facing the LGBTQ community. Against the backdrop of historic Supreme Court hearings on same-sex marriage and financial equality, subjects recall joyous moments of acceptance and romance, along with painful instances of intolerance and discrimination, offering modern perspectives on being out in America.

After the screening, Anne Wilkes Tucker, the Gus and Lyndall Wortham Curator of Photography, leads a brief discussion with the filmmaker, photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders. A book signing follows.
