Nearly 80 submissions from around the world were submitted for the FIfth Annual Robert Avalon International Competition for Composers. Organized by the Foundation for Modern Music, this concert culminates the competition.
This year's judges include the Texas-born Rome Prize winner and internationally respected composer, Christopher Theofanidis; and Pulitzer Prize, National Medal of Arts and two-time Grammy Awards winner, William Bolcom. Every year this competition reveals exciting new, highly original music by both young and more established composers.
