Jacques Rodrigue, son of George Rodrigue, who was the famous artist and creator of Blue Dog series, will present a free Family Day at “Rodrigue: Houston” in West Ave at River Oaks.

Along with the opportunity to view the extensive collection of original Rodrigue paintings, families can enjoy face painting and “Blue Dog” art activities. Additionally, Pinkberry will provide complimentary cool treats from 1 to 3 pm.

Don Sanders, Houston businessman, philanthropist and collector of Blue Dog paintings, and Jacques Rodrigue will be signing copies of the newly published book Rodrigue: The Sanders Collection from 1 to 3 pm. Also available for the first time is a special limited edition of 100 books, which are signed by foreword author and baseball pitching legend Nolan Ryan. These books are available for $250 and support the arts initiatives of the George Rodrigue Foundation in HISD schools.
