Extraordinary French flute soloist Jean Ferrandis joins Shepherd School of Music flute professor Leone Buyse, whose singing "flautando" style and charming flair render her a sought out soloist, chamber music collaborator and pedagogue, and pianist Kyung-A Yoo.

The recital program includes Beethoven's Sonata No. 5 in F Major, Op. 24 "Spring," Bartók's Hungarian Peasant Suite and Godard's delightful Suite, Op. 116. Buyse joins for Uebayashi's Au-delà du temps for two flutes and piano.

Buyse first met Ferrandis at the National Flute Association Convention in 2006, and the two musicians have since become good friends. This concert marks Ferrandis' third visit to Houston since 2007.
