The Actual Dance is a moving, insightful one-act play performed by its author, Sam Simon, as he tells the story of his wife’s successful battle with breast cancer from a unique point of view – that of a husband and caretaker supporting his spouse and ultimate cancer survivor through her difficult journey.
Houstonian Susan Kalmans and Sam Simon were married in the J.B. Greenfield Chapel at Congregation Beth Yeshurun in 1966.
